Long-Term Sustainable Results 

In our 2023 world we want everything as quickly as possible. Fast can be good for some things but not everything and your health goals are one of them.

Think of this, what about building a house? If someone gave you the option to have your house built in a year because they needed 6 months to build the foundation OR skip the foundation and then you get your house in 6 months. That is a no brainer of course we would wait for the foundation to be built. I got this house analogy from a James Hamilton, in the fitness space and when I heard him say it. I thought WOW I have never heard it explained so well. So, I have to share. 

The same foundation needs to be built for your health, weight loss, muscle gaining, goals, whatever goals. You cannot go straight to the walls of the house, or straight to advanced training programs, and HIIT classes, and a cut that requires you to eat 1300 calories a day. That just makes no sense and is completely unrealistic. 

You NEED to start small, a few health habits at a time and once and only once you have built these habits should you move onto anything more advanced. 

 

  1. Sleeping 7-9 hours a night
  2. Having a fruit and vegetable each day
  3. Hitting your protein target everyday 
  4. Strength training 2-4x a week 
  5. Tracking all your calories everyday
  6. Walking 10k steps a day 

 

If you are not being consistent with these things above, you do not need to look any further. A more advanced program is not what you're missing, a stricter calorie deficit isn't it either! You have not built your foundation yet, and until you do the things above consistently for 3+ months look no further.

 

These are the things that will take you further past your goals and allow you to maintain whatever goal it is you are trying to maintain well after any plan or diet or program!
